Welcome to LA Social Science. This e-forum space was coordinated between 2018-2023 as a space for the public to engage with UCLA Social Science faculty, students, staff and community partners. Its mission was to collectively create knowledge aimed at finding solutions to the challenges that confront our region rooted in the belief that by engaging the challenges we face here in Los Angeles, we can also help change the world for the better.
In 2025 and beyond, we continue to believe the departments and centers comprising the Division of Social Sciences at UCLA are uniquely positioned to advance a social science committed to the public good. To this end, we are now spotlighting the stories and impact of our division through our “Engaging Los Angeles, Changing the World” newsletter, you can learn more about its mission and purpose here.
Whether you are a member of the UCLA campus community or a stakeholder elsewhere, we invite you to subscribe to “Engaging Los Angeles, Changing the World,” so you can remain engaged and informed about the latest research, education and service.
